At High Peaks Hemp we have been growing hemp and researching CBD longer than almost anyone in the US. We have had our R&D license since 2018 making us one of the first Hemp Grow Facilities in New York outside of a university. We decided we wanted a very special approach to pain relief via topical CBD.
We grow our own hemp, indoors in living soil. We hold ourselves to the highest standards to make sure, first of all, that our hemp is the very best quality available on the market. We do not use any synthetic fertilizers in our grow tents. We raise our “baby girls” with lots of love and care, ensuring that we have the very best material available for making our CBD products.
Next, we use a proprietary method to directly infuse full-spectrum CBD oil directly into avocado oil using capsaicin from red peppers to help with process. WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?? Because most hemp goes from the hemp farm where it is grown to a high-tech extraction facility where strong solvents like methanol, butane or supercritical CO2 is used to extract the CBD from the plant material. This CBD is then further purified to remove any traces chlorophyll.
We believe this is bad for two reasons…
- Typical Commercial Extraction uses strong solvents. We don’t want our hemp to go anywhere near toxic solvents.
- Typical Commercial Extraction removes many of the beneficial substances like minor cannabinoids (CBC, CBG, etc.) and removes the naturally occurring terpenes which seem to hold many of the health benefits associated with cannabis and hemp.
While there is still loads of research that needs to be done, it is becoming clear that Full-Spectrum CBD oil with Terpenes is most effective in treating pain and anxiety. Therefore, CBD Isolate, the most common form of CBD available, appears to lose much of it’s expected benefit.
So we worked long and hard to develop methods for growing and infusing CBD that both keep our products safe from any potential toxic or synthetic materials. You can be sure that HIgh Peaks Hemp CBD Products are pure and effective.
